Klaas Keirse is onderzoeker aan het KU Leuven Centrum voor Politicologie. Hij maakt er een doctoraat over de christelijke arbeidersbeweging in België sinds de jaren tachtig. Hij studeerde in 2009 af als Master in de Moderne Geschiedenis, en heeft bachelordiploma's in Geschiedenis en Rechten. Tijdens zijn studententijd was hij voorzitter van de Leuvense studentenraad en de Vlaamse Vereniging van Studenten (VVS).

Klaas Keirse is a Research Fellow/PhD Candidate at the KULeuven Centre for Political Research, focusing on the Christian Workers Movement in Belgium since the 1980s. He graduated as a Master in Modern History (Magna Cum Laude, KULeuven, 2009) and holds Bachelor’s degrees in History and in Laws. He was chairperson of the Leuven student body council and of the National Union of Students in Flanders (VVS).

CD&V

Klaas Keirse is gewezen voorzitter van CD&V Roeselare, en zetelde in de Algemene Vergadering van CD&V in Brussel. In december 2012 vroeg nationaal voorzitter Wouter Beke hem om met een dertigtal anderen mee na te denken over het beleidsprogramma van CD&V ('Operatie Innesto'.)

Klaas Keirse served on CD&V’s General Assembly, and was chairperson of its local branch in his hometown Roeselare until 2015. In December 2012, with some 30 others, he was asked by national chairperson Wouter Beke to rethink the policy programme of the Flemish christian-democrats CD&V (‘Operatie Innesto’)
